AFE takes great pride in supplying products that fully satisfy the requirements of the Restriction of
Hazardous Substances Directive: 2002/95/EC (RoHS).
This directive restricts the use of six materials in the manufacture of electrical equipment. The six
materials being: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl and
polybrominated diphenyl ether.
In many cases AFE’s products are custom designed and built to meet customer specifications. In
the event that a resultant product from a given specification leads to a product that would not be
RoHS compliant, AFE can work towards finding a solution that is RoHS compliant.
